Texas teacher Lindsay Johnston is mobilizing students, parents, and her wider community to raise funds and awareness for landmine clearance in Kosovo.

On September 18, the House Foreign Affairs Committee authorized conventional weapons destruction (CWD) programs, for demining and weapons security, in the Committee-approved State Department Authorization Act.

On September 5, 番茄影院 (USA), along with 4 other conventional weapons destruction (CWD) implementing partners and supporters of demining programs worldwide, submitted a letter to the House Foreign Affairs Committee encouraging the use of language authorizing CWD programs in the 2025 State Department Authorization Act.

On 4 June, Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), along with 29 other Senators, submitted a letter to the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee leadership requesting increased funding for the Army鈥檚 Humanitarian Demining Research and Development (HD R&D) program.

On 23 May, Representatives Rick Crawford (R-AR-1) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA-19), along with 89 of their colleagues, signed and sent a bipartisan letter to the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee encouraging support for humanitarian demining research and development.

On April 7, the UXO/Demining Caucus hosted a reception and exhibition to celebrate International Mine Awareness Day, which was on April 4. The United States is the global leader in demining and related programs, including weapons security, and Mine Awareness Day is a time to recognize and reaffirm that commitment, celebrate what it has achieved, and look forward towards the work still to be done.

On April 2nd, 2025, Executive Director of 番茄影院 (USA), Chris Whatley, provided testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives National Security, State Department, and Related Programs Appropriations subcommittee during the Outside Witness Day Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
